Hello

So glad you’re here. I write about living the intentional life, fixing our eyes on Christ, and resting in grace. My hope is that you are encouraged.

Heeey friends, how’s it? 👋 It is 1:45am and Ben and I have been on a mosquito rampage (Ben estimates we got 20, I say 40). We’re all up, except Ady. 😏 Load shedding cut off our fans, and we’re in a looong hot stretch of days☀️ so, I guess this is the only time when I post to IG? 🤪
Stella and Mom, just enjoying Christmas break, soaking up the sun ☀️
These wise words from Spurgeon have summed up Advent for me this year:
“At the center, our job (as parents) is to show our kids that even our best love is a shadow of a greater love. To put a sharper edge on it: to make the tender heart of Christ irresistible and unforgettable.” [Dane Ortlund]
Spring is bringing all the deep cleaning, decluttering, and organizing out of me…living in a small home as a family of six is a constant opportunity for creativity, a challenge in making spaces work and rework in order to best serve the purposes of our home and current needs of our family. Most seasons, this is a joyful kind of challenge, a heart check in gratitude. Sometimes, I just think a basement sounds dreamy 😂
Hey 👋 it’s been a quiet month for me on here, something about pondering all the things and treasuring them in my heart, and not having the words to share as usual. It’s been a full month too; my parents have left, we had an awesome with all our org family, and we’re in the last two months of school (college and homeschool).
So full of gratitude for these days together, with my parents ✨🥰 my words are short (putting all these heart things into words is for another day) but for now, soaking up the time, the hugs, the sounds, the sights, the feelings. 💛
“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” (English designer, William Morris)
